Australian Kite Surfing Academy owner Martin Reeves said that his business has been doing fine through the years. However, he was surprised to learn that his business, located in Boreen Point, may be affected with the latest laws implemented by the Sunshine Coast council.
A new permit system is now being set in place and Reeves was surprised that Boreen Point was not included. He has started seeing council officials to discuss the matter.
Reeves said that the talks have been positive but he pointed out that there have been restrictions put in place which makes it hard to operate a business.
The establishment owner said he does not want to operate during Easter holidays because it is jampacked. His business only relies on limited occasions wherein wind blew for consistent periods. He is not aware how these new regulations will affect other business establishments in the area.
