Conservative women’s swimwear is still in, especially in the largely conservative region of Middle East. That’s the very reason why Jenny Rose Nicholson’s MyCozzie line of swimwear is a big hit because it still conforms to the cultural practices in the region.
Nicholson said that the continuing demand for these kinds of swimwear prompted her to set up larger retail outlets. This move was agreed upon by retailer Farhana Farooq, the creative director for Farashati.
She said that women in the region are concerned if they should choose fashion over tradition or vice versa. However, with these lines of women’s swimwear, they can have both. That gap before has been bridged now with these items.
Nicholson expanded her business after she gained popularity for having created a conservative swimsuit for a Saudi princess. This generated positive response from her client and thus created a whole vista of opportunities for Nicholson.
