As part of a multimillion dollar effort to improve the coastline in South Wales, a watersports festival is set to be staged.
The Assembly Government has been implementing efforts by funding projects across the coast to improve access for everyone to the beaches and waters in the area.
The watersports festival will take place in Porthcawl and this is an off-season Adrenalin Coast Festival.
Aside from the one in Porthcawl, an addition 4.2 million pounds will be spent on a watersports center for Swansea Bay. Tourists can take part in watersports activities such as canoeing, rafting, sailing, kayaking, surfing, rowing, windsurfing and kit surfing in the Porthcawl Harbour, Rest Bay and Swansea Bay.
The government revealed that part of the funding will come from the European Regional Development Fund. The new watersports center will be the third in the country, with the other two located in South West Wales and North Wales respectively.
