The Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney, Australia developed an event called “Exposed! The story of swimwear,” which showcases how swimwear fashion has progressed for the past century.
In the past, swimwear design has involved woolen garments that cover the area from the neck to the knees. In these modern times, a skimpy undergarment is becoming a common thing among men and women. Advanced swimwear that promotes “buoyancy” has been hitting the shelves and has gained support from the global market.
The museum will feature the collection of garments that were developed through the years. Organizers reported that there’s a steady influx of interested visitors from all over the world and they are planning to showcase the items in several cities across the country.
South Australia Maritime Museum Senior Curator Lindl Lawton said that swimwear has gone a long way and they have decided to play host of this historic event.

The supermodel girlfriend of actor Leonardo DiCaprio never fails to catch the attention of everyone, especially the male population in modelling sexy lingerie and high end fashion.
Supermodel Bar Refaeli is seen in a latest swimwear ad campaign where she showed off her womanly curves that seemed to say why DiCaprio could not just let go of the Israeli beauty despite their five-year “on and off” relationship.
The 24-year old is currently the new face of the Spring 2010 advertising campaign of clothing line Rampage. The shoot was reportedly made in the former home of socialite Paris Hilton in Los Angeles.
Refaeli was hired recently for the campaign and she replaced Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen for this gig. Coincidentally, Bundchen was a former lover of DiCaprio.
Reports last year surfaced that Refaeli and DiCaprio broke off their relationship in June but recent reports revealed that the two were once again seen together holidaying in South America and watching an NBA game in Los Angeles.

A beach bikini photo shoot held at Santa Cruz, California failed to beat the world record by a large margin.
The Possibility Advocate Society, the organizers of the event, revealed that there were less than a hundred participants in the photo shoot. The world record for the most number of bikini-wearing individuals at one area has been set at 1,983 participants which means that there were 1,900 lesser participants at the shoot held at Cowell Beach.
Despite not achieving a milestone at the event, Possibility Advocate Society Founder Virgil Robinson said that they are still glad that everyone had a good time. The founder also said that they will attempt to break the record once more in the future.
Robinson’s society is a networking group that gathers resources to aid a person’s dreams become a reality. Last March 30, the group successfully created a world record for the most number of people with afro-wig during a shoot.
The photo shoot, which took place last weekend, also invited men who would dare enough to wear skin-tight swimwear such as Speedo. A fundraising activity also took place where the proceeds were given to those who are in need.
