Hundreds of individuals in Sydney, Australia stripped off to their swimwear this week in a bid to overtake an existing Guinness World record for the most number of swimwear-wearing individuals in one location. However, the numbers did not break records but the event was still considered a success nonetheless.
The official record was set at 287 swimwear-wearing individuals which was staged in South Africa.
Hundreds of businessmen and city workers reportedly took off their everyday wear and sported on bikinis and Speedo-type swimwear and gathered at the Sydney Opera House to pose in front of the global media. However, the numbers were not enough to overtake the world record. Despite this, participants are happy to have taken part in the occasion. Funds were still raised in the event.
According to reports, the proceeds will go to the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience.
