An advertising campaign that featured a young girl wearing a bikini and doing poses has been banned by an ad regulator because it sexualizes children.
The ad was for NH Hoteles, a hotel and holiday group. The advert was featured in a website with the banner “The Organizers. Operation Bikini.”

The regular, Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), received several complaints because the scenes featured a young girl doing “sexually provocative poses.”
NH Hoteles defended its ad saying that if seen overall, it basically featured efficient holiday vacations and the services they can provide to the clients. The company officials said that the ad should not be perceived as “sexually provocative.”

However, ASA stuck to its decision, saying that it was “irresponsible” for the company to feature a young girl with a grown up model and then doing striking model poses.

The previous week, the ASA banned a sports apparel brand because it featured a model in the nude. The model is believed to be underage.
